SEN Information
Our SEN Information Report explains how Stanley School supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. It is a legal requirement under the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 and sets out the provision we make for all our pupils.
The report answers key questions about how we identify and assess needs, the support we provide, how we work with families and other professionals, and how we measure the effectiveness of our provision. It is reviewed annually to ensure the information remains current and accurate.
Our full SEND Information Report covers:
Our approach: How we identify needs, assess progress, and plan personalised support for each child through our multi-disciplinary team approach.
Specialist support: The range of therapists, medical professionals and specialist staff who work with our pupils, including our on-site school nurse and Sensory Integration Speech and Language Therapist.
Working with families: How we involve parents and carers in their child's education through regular meetings, Class Dojo communication, and parent support events.
Pupil voice: How we listen to and involve pupils in decisions about their education, recognising that our pupils communicate in different ways.
Measuring effectiveness: How we track progress, evaluate provision, and make changes when support isn't working as well as it should.
Accessibility and inclusion: How our fully accessible building and adapted environments meet the diverse needs of our pupils, and how all pupils are included in trips, activities and learning opportunities.
Transitions: How we support pupils joining Stanley School and moving on to secondary education through personalised transition programmes.
