School Performance Measures
At Stanley School, we celebrate the unique achievements of every pupil. As a special school, we are ambitious for all our children and measure success in ways that truly reflect their individual progress and development.
We don't use traditional performance measures like SATs results, because these don't capture the remarkable progress our pupils make. Instead, we focus on each child's personal learning journey, whether that's developing communication skills, growing in independence, building confidence, or achieving small steps that represent huge milestones for them.
We track progress carefully against individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes and personalised learning targets. We celebrate every achievement, from a first word or sign to mastering a new life skill. Our inclusive approach means we value progress in all areas; academic learning, personal development, social skills, and preparing for adulthood.
We work closely with families, therapists and other professionals to ensure every child makes the best possible progress from their individual starting points. We are a learning community, constantly reflecting on our practice and striving to provide the highest quality education and care.
