Butterflies is one of our three EYFS classes that consists of six boys and three girls. Our teachers are Liz (Mon-Thurs) and Gerry (Thurs-Fri). Our wonderful teaching assistants are Tina, Jayne and Jenny.
All the children in butterflies class have settled really well into the new school year. What a busy time we have had so far and, most importantly, we have had great fun. Our lessons involve a range of different curriculum areas including Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World, PE, PSED, Independent Living Skills, Swimming, Bucket Therapy, Purposeful Movement Play and more! We are so proud of how the children have adapted to new routines and engaged with their learning so far. Language, communication and play skills are embedded in all that we do and we are all so delighted with the progress made so far. Well done to our new little butterflies! You make us smile all day long and you bring so much joy to our classroom. Here are some pictures from the work we have done this term in our lessons including numicon, parachute play, lycra train play, fine motor/pre writing skills, sensory play activities, lunchtime routine/PECS. Stay tuned for more pictures later in the term !
