Bumblebees – Class 13

Welcome to Bumble Bees

Hello and welcome to Bumblebee class. I am Ceri and I am fortunate to enough to be the teacher of 10 amazing and talented pupils. We are a group of 10 children from key stage 2 we love to learn through exploring and play.

We love to learn through a multi-sensory approach and cover aspects of both semi-formal and formal curriculum. We love learning through different topics and particularly enjoy all the practical aspects of learning. Each morning the pupils will be in four groups complete a short activity either linked to phonics/writing/number/reading and each day the groups will rotate so by the end of the week they will have completed all four activities. We have lots of fun learning in Bumblebees!!

On A Friday this will be reflection morning and the class will look back on the week and select their favourite parts and explore what they have learnt. We also do lots of work around our emotions and each morning we talk to our peers and we discuss our feelings.

Bumblebee class and myself are extremely lucky to be supported by 5 wonderful teaching assistants Di, Vickie, Sue, Ami and Jenny. As a team we work together to build a committed class team who are passionate about the children in our class and support them in all areas of their learning. As a class team it is lovely to watch and see all the children blossom; they make us all very proud.

Bumble bee class enjoy themed weeks. Below are pictures of them enjoying Space week and going on a Solar system tour at Stanley!! They measured the distance of each plant from the sun!!
