Complaints
At Stanley School, we value the partnership between school, parents, carers and the wider community. We are committed to working together to provide the best possible education and care for our pupils.
We welcome feedback and take all concerns seriously. Most issues can be resolved quickly and informally by speaking to the right member of staff. However, if you have a concern that cannot be resolved informally, we have a formal complaints procedure in place.
Our approach
We aim to:
- Resolve concerns as quickly and fairly as possible
- Listen carefully and investigate thoroughly
- Keep you informed throughout the process
- Learn from complaints to improve our school
Who should I speak to first?
For day-to-day concerns about your child:
- Speak to your child's class teacher or class staff via ClassDojo
- Contact the school office on 0151 342 6741
For more serious concerns:
- Contact the headteacher or senior leadership team
Most concerns can be resolved at this stage through open communication and discussion.
Formal complaints
If your concern has not been resolved informally, you can make a formal complaint using our complaints procedure.

This document explains:
- The stages of the formal complaints process
- Who to contact at each stage
- The timescales for responses
- Your right to escalate your complaint if you remain dissatisfied
Anonymous complaints
We take all complaints seriously, including those made anonymously. However, it may be more difficult to investigate and respond to anonymous complaints, as we cannot ask for further information or clarify details with you.
