We are a primary specialist school for pupils aged 2–11 who have complex SEND and are supported by an Education, Health and Care plan.
Our children are at the heart of everything we do
Every decision we make is focused on ensuring our children have school experiences that help them develop educationally and socially in an engaging, fun, caring and supportive environment. We make the most of our fantastic on-site facilities, and we actively seek opportunities for learning beyond the classroom through community visits and real-world experiences.
Our ambition for every child
When our children leave Stanley School, we want them to have a range of educational, independence and self-help skills that will support them as they progress to the next stage of their lives. We work closely with families and other professionals to ensure each child develops the communication, social and practical skills they need to thrive.
Celebrating every achievement
We are extremely proud of the progress our children make, especially considering the challenges they face and overcome each day. We place particular emphasis on developing our pupils' independence, including communication, because we know this has a significant impact on children's confidence and wellbeing.
Each small step of our children's unique learning journey is supported and celebrated, no matter what that may be. Whether it's a first word, a new friendship, toilet training, increased independence, or an academic achievement, every milestone matters.
