Welcome to Badgers Class – our Semi-Formal pathway class of children aged 7-9.  Welcome to our vibrant, nurturing class of unique learners who bring energy, warmth, and curiosity to our school every single day.

We work together as a team to ensure every child receives the support and encouragement they need throughout the school day.

Our classroom is designed to be a safe, joyful haven where every child is celebrated for who they are and supported to reach their full potential.

• Storytelling & Early Literacy: Stories are a big part of our day, and we enjoy developing our love of reading through shared books, songs and interactive activities.

• Attention Autism Sessions: We also take part in Attention Autism every day, which helps to develop attention, communication and engagement in a fun and exciting way.

• Hands-On STEM Exploration: We believe children learn best by doing. Our pupils enjoy investigating how things work through practical STEM activities—testing ideas, solving problems, and discovering how the world works through play and tactile investigation.

• Independence & Social Connection: We support our children to build self-reliance, learn alongside their peers, and develop key social skills through both guided learning and continuous provision.

Emotional well-being and individual progress are at the centre of everything we do. We celebrate every achievement and work closely in partnership with parents and carers to ensure each child feels confident, safe, and happy at school.

We regularly communicate with parents through Dojo and share photos of classroom activities, so parents can see what their child has been enjoying and feel confident trying similar activities at home.
