School Council News Autumn
This half term we held our School Council election. This is done annually in appropriate classes as part of our PSED curriculum. Children learn about the skills needed to be a school councillor and each child votes for who they think would be suited to this role. They place a cross in a box on election day, and the person with the most votes is invited to be part of the team for the academic year. Our school council are a busy bunch! This year they will be involved in organising various events and projects. What’s more is that they are ‘the voice’ of our pupils. They are involved in communicating important information to their friends across the school. They raise money for charity and decide on charities they would like to support. They contribute to our enterprise work and they help to make important decisions about how our school runs and how it could be improved. They are always there to help others and are excellent role models. Here are some photos of a few of our new school council members. Stay tuned to hear more about the work they will undertaking this year and projects they will be involved in.
Our free communication app allows us to provide parents with instant access to our important messages and up to date school information. Please contact the school office if you have not received your personal invite.
